G'Day, eh!?! From Canada.
Slainte!
There is a website, search for "Official Tartan Registry" and you'll be able to do a bit of research starting there with respect to designing, creating and registering your own tartan. You'll also see that there are literally hundreds of tartans out there, many of which are yet to be woven into cloth.
Let us know how your mission proceeds.
Cheers,
idh

Thank you very much - I´ve designed my Tartan with Scotsweb and didn´t find a similar at Tartanregister.

Salzburg is my Hometown....
Welcome and please allow me to attempt (with the aide of Google Translate) to tell a little about myself. ...
(For the English speakers: "I studied in Salzburg at the University of Portland during the 1979-80 school year. At the time, our school was at Neutorstraße 39, just a short distance from the Gasthaus Riedenburg. As I type, I have on a fleece blanket with the Stiegl logo. So Salzburg holds a special place in my heart.")

Hallo! Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland nach Österreich!
I only just registered here myself and made my first post a few minutes ago. I wonder if there are any other Germans here besides me, in any case it's nice to meet someone from another German speaking country here.
When I was still going on holidays with my parents (in a caravan) we drove through Austria many times, but I was never properly on holiday in Austria, so I have never even visited Salzburg or Wien so far, unfortunately.
