    Tartan ID anyone?

There is quite a discussion going on in a FB group on this photo. I'm just curious what tartan it is? (I have a guess but I'd like to be certain)

    Thanks

Certainly looks to be the sett. I like the colors more muted like the photo.
Thanks, at first glance it is close to the Buchanan Old Sett - but not exactly.

    Thanks again.

The sett does look like the one Steve posted, and I like the muted colours too. It's a handsome tartan.

I can see why that photo would be causing quite a bit of discussion.

perhaps a variation of "Buchanan Variation (Fashion)"?

The fly plaid doesn't look to be asymmetrical and I assume it is the same as the kilt. Though it looks more correct in tone and richness to the tartan jhockin showed.

Is the MacLately Tartan listed? I don't see it on the Scottish Register of Tartan or on the Scottish Tartans Authority.

Oh, and by the way. It is perfectly acceptable to mention Kilt Forum. At one time it was thought that Kilt Forum would be a sister site to X Marks but with a distinctive European take.
The forum changed ownership and I guess they were not interested in continuing discussing the idea.
