Killing Britain
I have read all the books on Forrest. I think his speach to the poll bearers is the most pro black statement of that era.

Recently got turned on to two SF authors who are new to me:
I devoured Becky Chambers’ Wayfarer Series:
The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet
A Closed and Common Orbit
Record of a Spaceborn Few
And I’m now finishing Ann Leckie’s Ancillary series:
Ancillary Justice
Ancillary Sword
Ancillary Mercy
Both series involve fascinating reflections on AI (artificial intelligence) and what makes a person human.

I just finished my (contributor's copy) of, "To Obama, With Love, joy, anger, and hope." by Jeanne Marie Laskas. I and my letter to President Obama are the subject of chapter two.
I am starting, Eric Idle's, "Always look on the bright side of Life" subtitled, "A Sortabiography". As a Monty Python fan, I expect the be thrilled and surprised with the contents. A little disappointment won't hurt me either.

Two books on the go at the moment:
"The Art of Coorie: How to Live Happy the Scottish Way" by Gabriella Bennett. The Scottish version of the Danish Hyyge lived by many, especially in the Borders and the Highlands.
"Corsets & Codpieces: A Social History of Outrageous Fashion" by Karen Bowman. The title says it all.

From time to time I get caught up with Jack Reacher novels (by Lee Child, pen name for the author). Then once you read one and finish it, you want to read the next one. Right now I'm reading "Never Go Back." Also have two recent "The Highlander" mags to read.
Retired a few weeks ago and busier now than when I was employed!
Merry Christmas all!
