Jim. Terrible news. Distance has precluded many visits out that way other than the events he's hosted for us,
but he's always been happy to see me, and a help in the planning I've done. Is he at home? Hospital? Still working?
We'll add him to prayer lists.

Firstly, sad news about Greg. I don't believe I've met him on previous Burns' Nights, or wasn't introduced. I agree that while the Tavern is open and they are able and willing we should continue on with them.

The 26th works well for me. I'll be happy to create programmes. Also I'll be happy to read a poem. Looking forward to seeing all!

Thanks, Creag. I have come to rely on you and Wil for the programs.

If anyone has a desire or even a willingness to take on a part of the presentation, please jump in. If you think of folk
who should be tagged for a nudge, do so.

    As before, group effort.

Such sad news about Greg. He has been such a wonderful and gracious host. I'm sure your friendship with him, Jim, makes the news more difficult to bear. I wish there were something we could do for him. It is always such a shame to see the suffering of a good person. I too would like to keep it at the Tavern if possible, and the 26th is best for us. I will be happy to read a poem or otherwise contribute as needed. As before.... I may not know what I'm doing but I'll take a stab at it.

@thescot @tripleblessed, any news on the status of our host, or further Burns Supper plans?

Right now I know that a close friend may be having his 60th birthday celebration that week (his birthday is the 30th), and I certainly want to be there for him for such a milestone. I'm just going to have to wait to hear what is happening when before I can decide whether or not I am able to attend. I'm hoping to be able to do both, as I always enjoy the company and the haggis and the cock-a-leekie soup!
