Why Havn't I said this before??????

Buy a thin long ladies belt and just pass it through the back of the sporran.. You can take the "D" rings out.

It won't cost a fortune either...

Toaday after months of constant checking I found a narrow mens dress belt at Wal- Mart for $15 to use as a sporran strap. I also checked the women's section, boy you should of seen some of the looks I got at that Until now all th belts I've seen either were to wide or not nearly long enough. It's black leather and looks good with the kilt and Sporran.

Two great minds. I bought a WalMart black dress men's belt today too for my Freelander sporran.

Wore it with my new Macdonald Lord of the Isles from Kathy's Kilts to the holiday party for the local hospital (was a board member until last month), then to my agency holiday party at the bosses house.

The cable sweater I wore pretty much covered up the belt, but don't know that there were any experts there to spot that it wasn't an "official" sporran strap.

All comments tonight were positive, no teasing - even from coworkers. One coworker from our office over in Fredonia, AZ came up and hugged me and thanked me for wearing a kilt. He's a Scotsman by heritage too and I suspect he'll soon be kilted.

Another coworker took a couple pics, hope to have them to post soon.

But dang, if anyone had ever predicted in my youth that at age 60 I'd be kilted, dancing to rap music, with a Navajo lady in Arizona....isn't life amazing.

Good on you, Ron! I have to admit that life can certainly present us with possibilities and opportunities that are pretty hard to imagine until they are upon us. In fact, when I am ensconced in something I sometimes try [in vain] to imagine what will next catch my fancy in terms of either employment or hobby. The Chinese have a saying that a man must be prepared to change his baggage many times during the course of his life. I know that in my case I traded some for a kilt carrier. I am not sure what is next up , but I am trying to keep an open mind. The Navaho woman part sounds particularly interesting, but definitely isn't in my future!

Ron glad you had a good time. I like the look of the belt I picked up, it goes well with my black kilt belt and at least the buckle isn't fancy.
It's funny were life takes you, I never once thought I would end up in New Mexico of all places and I have no clue where I will be in the future.
