Hello From Washington State!
Hello!
I found this site after trying to find out more information about Kilts in general, and thought I should probably stick around for a bit and learn from you all!
I received my kilt from my late uncle, and while at first, I was going to sell it to a shop, I thought, "You know, perhaps not, it is blue.." and so I kept it.
Fast forward a few years to today, and I've been having a really hard time finding good jeans that don't rip in the crotch area (big thigh syndrome!) and I looked at the kilt and thought, "Hmm.... I wouldn't have that problem in that!"
I don't have a sporran or any other accessories that go along with the kilt, so it's been mostly trying it on at home to get comfortable. I have some funds coming in soon and I was thinking of getting a simple day sporran and a belt to start.
I look forward to learning more here!

Well met and welcome new friend. Glad you found us and hope you'll stay awhile. Take your time with the other items as you get used to your kilt at home. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how comfortable the garment is.

Greetings from another newbie
They do take some getting used to. I just started wearing the kilt myself. I'm still self-conscious about it in public which is strange because thus far, in my limited experience I've received nothing but compliments. I suspect from the comments I've heard there are many men that want to work up the nerve to try it.
