    Just found this pic

Here's a shot of the pleats on my 4-yard Bear Kilt. Notice it wears just as well when doing manual labour (wielding a polaski or shovel and digging in the dirt) as anywhere else. I'm still impressed with how well the pleats stayed in place over 5 months of neglect and abuse (I hope I can't be arrested for neglect and abuse of a kilt!).

    Andrew,

Neglect and abuse huh? It just goes to show that regardless of what one does in a kilt, they are still the best looking garment around. Great picture.

If you don't mind me asking, where was that taken? It's absolutely gorgeous scenery there!

The kilt is very nice as well.

This was around Elk Park, NC / Roan Mountain, TN. I was helping to construct a new section of the Appalachian Trail to replace a section that had erosion problems. A group of around 70 of us constructed the 1.5 mile section in two days.

Painting a blaze on the new trail:

That looks beautiful [the kilt and the trail].

I'm planning on hiking the trail from the south to the north in the spring/summer of 2005, and this is just more fuel for the fire.

I thought it looked famalliar, I grew up in east Tennessee bout a mile (as the crow flys) from the trail.

It is a good looking kilt, makes the view even better.
