New Utilikilts - are they really adjustable for waist size????

So gutter kilt junkie that I am I've owned 18 Utilikilts over the years....after losing 100lbs thinking about ordering a new smaller one. Its been years since I bought one though.

Checking the website they seem to imply that the current Utilikilts are somehow adjustable within a size range...yet I can't find any information on the website to describe how that adjustment is made. Be it buttons or snaps, or lacing, or some other gizmo...??

Just wondering if anyone on the forum has the new adjustable size range Utilikilts and can enlighten me.

I bought one of their survival models 2 years ago and it does have what they call a switchback system in order to allow for some adjusting and it contains what is best described as a bungie lacing and Velcro as I do not wear it very often I cannot comment on how it works (it was very expensive and my wife is afraid I'll wreck it so it only comes out of the closet on special occasions) however I can tell you it is very comfortable to wear but I did find that is slides down my narrow hips very easily when not accompanied by a belt. Had one of the early leather Utilikilts that had a corset lacing system on the sides...this sounds different. No clue why they don't talk about it. Even tried youtube, no joy.

I have owned (and still own) older styled Utilikilts and own 2 of the switchback style (Workman and Survival) if you have any questions.

Thanks, just wanted to know "how" it was set up. Guessing you don't feel the lacing when you're wearing the kilt.

I don't feel it at all. I went from not liking the new system to really appreciating it. It has a look of what I've heard called the "asset" ... *** + corset.

I have a survival and a mocker switch-back

Sizing is odd but the concept works. I do not like the the slash pockets, prefer the old ones. I think Stumptown has the market on adjustable kilts. I have 3 of them I wear often.
