The rodeo buckles I've seen are made to fit on ordinary belts you would wear with jeans. Are some made to work with 2" to 2.5" belts?
My jeans have loops that appear to be designed for a 1.5" belt.
My narrower Scottish belt is a Day Dress belt, 2" wide, and it won't fit in the loops.
The 2.5" Dirk Belt wouldn't have a chance of fitting in my jeans.
Then again, back in the late 1960s/early 1970s ordinary fashion belts were super-wide and pants had loops to match.
Now hats are a different matter! And have been worn with kilts for over 100 years.
