    First Kilt Coming

Me? first kilt? well yes really.

I was informed that my first new made to measure, hand stitched, scottish wool 8 yard kilt will arrive on Wednesday.

It's a Morrison Ancient, the tartan I've wanted for ages, from All Things Tartan, here in Australia.

    Naturally piccies will follow!

I will love it to death, but to be honest, it won't get the daily wear that my PV kilts do. It will be for church and other special occasions.
    more soon!

That's what you say now - wait until you feel how wonderful it is, then you'll want to wear it more! My "tank" gets just as much wear as any other kilt I own, though I've only worn it backpacking once.

Well done Graham! Can't wait to see the piccies.*

Believe me when I say, you will find yourself wearing that fine garment far more often than you currently think you will. I know about these things!!

    * that reminds me: I have some piccies still in the camera that should be posted!!

    THAT'S MY BOY!!!!!!!

I'll warn you now though. Once you put that baby around your waist, feel the sway, revel in the compliments, notice how they're constructed to drape and flow, and notice the rigid pleats... you'll WANT to wear it all the time! That's normal though. Don't be afraid. Let it happen. BE the kilt Graham.

Getting it in the tartan that you've wanted for so long is fantastic! That just makes it all the better. And just in time for Christmas!!!

I have to agree with all the above Graham.

You'll find it hard to leave it hanging in the wardrobe.

I'm sure you will be wearing it for Christmas day at least!

and while we're on the subject, Happy Christmas!

Way to go Graham! Now that I have two hand sewn traditionals, i enjoy standing in front of the closet trying to decide which one to wear
