Beautiful mink Evening sporran currently around $30, plus shipping.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sapphire-Mi...temCondition=4

I do wonder whether or not mink items can be legally shipped across international borders.

A quick google shows that the only restrictions for importation to the U.S. seem to be on the actual skins, not finished goods made of mink fur, and even then it's only a tax, not a ban. I don't know about other countries.

This is strange, a lovely Evening sporran of Musquash fur with the "Greenland Seal Skin" sticker on the back!

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Greenland-S...temCondition=4

AFAIK Musquash is legal to ship to the USA, so were someone here to buy that sporran the sticker should be removed before posting.

Why on Earth a Musquash sporran has that sticker, who can say. My guess is that it was the sporranmaker's only "Made In Scotland" sticker.

Here's another example of a mislabeled sporran.

I see every day on Ebay child-size and youth-size sporrans being sold as adult sporrans, even being listed as military sporrans!

Here's the only time I recall seeing the reverse: an adult-size sporran listed as "small" and "youth". Happily the seller gives measurements, which are typical for 20th century Day and Evening sporrans.

    You're welcome!

Here's a beautiful sealskin & leather Day Dress sporran with the typical oval Made In Scotland Real Leather stamp on the back, with post under $50 but of course illegal in the USA.

Here's a very nice brown (ginger) leather classic Day sporran, of the type that's been made since the 1920s, before the press button snap closures came in.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/KILT-SPORRA...temCondition=4

I have no idea about the age of this one, it looks near-new. It lacks the typical gold oval Made In Scotland Real Leather stamp, yet the quality of stitching etc speaks to being Scottish-made.

Here's what I always have an eye out for, a Made In Scotland seal sporran already within US borders.

It appears to be new, more or less, and well under $100 including shipping.

Missing half the chain-strap, it seems.

Just curious, and I don't want to derail the thread, does that mean that if it is acquired when it is already in the US that the possession of it will be legal?
