I'm very much looking forward to being part of this community. I can't remember a time when I haven't wanted to have a kilt, but I never took action until a year ago. I've become very interested in my genealogy, especially my Scottish and other Celtic ancestry. This led to me becoming involved in my clan (Donald). At first, I really just wanted to be properly attired at Scottish-themed events. Lately, however, especially as I am soon to be retired, I'm looking to make the kilt a part of my normal wardrobe. The fact that I enjoy the Florida climate also makes it a more practical clothing choice. The photo was taken this past weekend right after returning home from the Northeast Florida Scottish games.
