New sporran from recycled leather

Well done! It looks fantastic, appears to be very practical, and is made from re-claimed materials. Nicely done.

So i just completed this sporran and thought I'd share with you fine folk. In Perth Western Australia we have a delightful event called street clean-up that occurs twice a year. Councils remove all your unwanted items from the kerb. So I removed the leather from quite a few couches that people have discarded.

This is the sporran I made from a well loved couch. The belt is a 1960's suit case strap that I picked up from a swop shop:

That's a great piece of work. My wife is about to make some Jacobite sporrans from op shop leather dresses. We're also in Perth.
