Looking Back 30 Years-Adventures with Celtic Renaissance Consort

Like many, I'm observing the shelter in place requirement to help flatten the covid-19 curve. This has given me a lot of free time to 'digitize' old photos, alleviating some boredom, but also helping me preserve some great times and pleasant memories. Within the recent batch of pics I've converted was a cache of photos from the days I was involved in a local Celtic Renaissance group (approximately 30 years back). While I'm normally a lurker here I do keep up with posts on a daily basis so I thought a few photos of that period back in the late 80s and early 90s might be a change of pace? Please delete or move this thread if it's not appropriate to the site or sub forum. Cheers.

    Very nice photos!

I did Ren Faire here in the late 70s/early 80s but since I've not much attended, sorry to say. My hat is off to people who have stuck with it all these years.

As a piper, and someone who has spent time in the re-enacting scene and is very interested in the history of things, the subject of just what a Renaissance-period Highland bagpipe would look like, would sound like, fascinates me.

Nobody knows! The earliest clear image we have is from 1714.
