Ben Lomond with the kilts on.

The challenge wasn't climbing the Munro it was trying to kit out my son and wife's cousins in highland wear for the last weeks Ben Lomond hike!
It took a couple of months of ebay auctions but managed to buy for less than £300...
4 x quality bespoke wool kilts
4 x seal skin day sporrans
    4 x belts & buckles
    4 x kilt socks
All used items but good quality and 2 of the kilts looked like they'd been worn just once.
Stuart of Appin, Scottish National and 2 Campbell kilts.

My wife's cousins had never climbed a Munro never mind owned a kilt before so a new experience for those two.
Weather was exceptional for late September in Scotland and I've never known a Scottish mountain to be as busy and because of all the photo requests due to the kilts it probably took 2hrs more than it should have!
Apparently since lockdown Munro bagging has become ever more popular.

I like the Scottish rugby shirt with a kilt. Coincidentally, I recently found a Scottish rugby team shirt in a thrift store here in the states, and I will be wearing it with a my kilt. Also found a kilt once in a thrift store, but not near as nice as those. My wife and I want to got to Scotland. There is so much I want to see there. I think I'll check out the secondhand stores when I do.

I thought wearing a kilt while out n about in Scotland automatically labelled you as American, or at least North American!

So what did the others think? Are there more kilted outings in the works?

Walking the hills with kilts in Scotland people expect a Scottish accent, but yes if walking down Edinburgh's Princess Street in tartan then local would think there goes another tourist!

That was our first venture up a mountain in a kilt but decided to make it an annual event.
Next summer it's the village of Killin and the climb of Ben Lawers

I've been tempted myself as it's the correct size and would be a better match for my rugby shirt, than my current drinking Stewart of Appin kilt.

Go for it! I actually bought this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/153653515285 . The one you posted would have been the correct size, whereas I may need to move buckles a little on this one, but the seller got back to me on shipping and offered to drop the price to make up for UK to US shipping being so high. He was also a former rugby player, and told me he did not expect to get back down to a weight where the kilt was going to fit again.

If you buy the one in your link, we will have to do some sort of goofy 'sharing a drink in the same kilt and rugby shirt across an ocean' picture!
