I have seen the premiere.....
and it is good. I stopped by the shop this afternoon to get measured and put a deposit on my x-mas gift from santa (see the dear santa thread). Rocky showed me his Irish Nat'l premiere, and it's a thing of beauty. 11 yards wrapped around a 36-ish waist, pleats almost as deep as your hand. I ended up changing my mind about my p/v and ordered one in the Scottish National. I just hope I can get it by Burns Nicht... he has to order the fabric yet, and I can only hope it's already on hand. What can I say, Santa's a punk.

Santa SWEARS that he wasn't intentionally talking you into a premier... he just had to show off his Irish Natnl and you happened to find out that the Scottish Natnl came in 13 oz wool. I think you'll be happy with your decision. I'm ordering the material this morning.

It's cool, man. If I gave the impression in my post that you did, I sincerely apologize. I'm typically not one to be sold on something I don't want. I really look forward to the new kilt. As I said, yours is a thing of wonder. I'm just glad in a way that mine's only (?!) going to be eight yards (as I can only assume most will be)... yours is really heavy- I don't think my knees could take it. They were creaking when I tried on yours .

I got a real early look at the premiere kilt that Rocky is now doing. Take a look at the Confederate Memorial tartan kilt in my gallery, it's one of his early ones and it is great. Thanks again Rocky.
