    It DOES sound better in German by candlelight on Christmas Eve. I don't know why but it just does.

    One thing, once you can pronounce nacht in German you're ready for nicht in Scots.

    And piobaireachd in the Gaelic.

    I'm getting fed up with voiceless fricatives and I wish that they would stand up for themselves a bit more.

    By the way, try singing an hour and a half of Rachmaninoff, acapella in Church Russian if you want to really challenge your palate.
