I STILL say that Callum Barton's kilt is the BEST one there! The guy that made that must have been a wonderful lad.

That MacLeod of Lewis material is GREAT for a kilt. Why, it looks identical to mine!

    What a surprise!

Jimmy Subtlebomb strikes again! It is a nice kilt Jimmy.

The whole Dressed to Kilt thing taught me a lot about wearing kilts: what lengths look good, which don't (according to my personal tastes), finding the visual balance Hamish is so fond of , and that Jeffrey Banks somewhere found a sporran shaped like a coffin! (shouldn't there be a Misfits logo on that sucker?)

This post taught me that I enjoy emoticons WAY too much!

If I am not mistaken, the kilt that Alistair MacKenzie is wearing is now in Hamish's Kilt Kollection (sorry, Rhino). It sure is a sweet looking kilt.

    Bwaaahaaahaaahaaahaaa!!!

Funny thing is that I HATED the tartan when I was making that thing, and now I have one of my own... complete with an 8-whistle holder on the hip.

    Never say never?

It certainly is in my Kollection and I do wear it, Colin - but I have only one of the detachable pockets. Howie so adored that kilt that he asked if he might keep one of the pockets to serve as a reminder. The fabric was a quite expensive one-off kilt-length of hand-bleached corduroy, absolutely unrepeatable.

Alistair MacKenzie, of course, played "Archie MacDonald" in "Monarch of the Glen".

Rhino, I am sorry this reminder from the past has come back to haunt you - I know how much you coveted that kilt. If it helps any, I promise to let you look at it next time we meet. Yes, I'll wear it so that you can get a good look at it, close-up! But, please don't touch it!

...And in the last set of photos on the page, if anyone needs any convincing not to wear a tartan top with a tartan kilt, I hope the pictures of the Earl of Caithness and "A kilted guest" will do the trick. Egad. Never mind the tartan/Argyll socks.

Thanks Colin keep rubbing salt in that wound, otherwise it might heal . I am slowly getting over it, plus a combination of seeing all the new stuff at the NEC and getting my Bear I can finally start to talk about it.
If I see it Hamish, I'll have to touch it , although if someone had to have it,,,,,,,
    IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MEEEEEEE
    Cheers Rhino
