Opinions on these hose

Hand dyed to match MacPherson tartan, hand spun marl,
100% superwash Merino, knitted in the round, no seams, resoleable foot.
Should I give up now, or knit another pair?

No, not first time. I’ve knit full fashion dice and argyle, and a crazy pair of border diamonds with split diamonds instead of marl. This is the latest evolution with asymmetrical marl that I drew up to make the main diamonds look different sizes.
The Borders and Splits were a little clownish, but they were for a yarn dealer, not a piper. These are for a piper friend. I’m just wondering if I’m wandering off course or if traditionalists wouldn’t be afraid to wear these in public.

Stunning. I’d wear those with a macpherson tartan kilt.

Lindsay would be great with this chart. Border the green with blue, spin red/green and red/blue marl. Use a full red diamond with 2 over check threads spaced 1 stitch apart. A match.
