Passing of a dear friend and kilt mentor

My friend and brother, Major Bruce Davie, passed away this weekend. He was not only a role model and mentor to me as a man and as a Mason but also in the ways of the kilt, which he wore to every single lodge meeting where he served us as Chaplain. He was also in our shrine's Highland pipe and drum corps where he played tenor drum. He was always the drummer in the annual processional of the haggis to begin our lodge's Burns supper.

I can't attend his funeral because of the virus but I can drink a toast of his favorite whisky in his honor. Rest easy, old friend.

May he rest in peace with the skirl of the pipes in his ears.

Of course I didn't know him, but will toast to him tonight. Sounds like a fine fellow.
