BTW: Vancouver: is it in BC?
SAS booking site talks about Vancouver BC and some stupid prices, far on top of my wallet.

Here is a relatively inexpensive motel and it had been used as background for many Vancouver filmed TV show, such as X-File. It is located in Vancouver.
I also found out that Simon Fraser University rent out their Dormitories and Town Houses during the summer break. I can check that out this week.
There is also the YMCA Hotel in Downtown Vancouver. IT seems they offer reasonable rate.

Campground information
Apparently there is a campground in Burnaby and it is off a major highway and very close to public Transit.

Thanks for taking the bull by the horns Raphael, let me know if you need any help. I have a few campgrounds in my area (for those that are looking for a bit more of a quiet BC experience, but are still only 30 minutes out of downtown), and know of a few cheap B&B's.

I have been waiting with baited breath with more info on this. I do plan on making it out. I wanted to take a few days in Vancouver and then head down to Seattle while I'm out that way. If it is at all possible to nail down a more precise schedule of events and write it in stone, that would be great. I can't make it out for the whole two weeks but do want to be there for 2 or 3 key days.

Can somebody give me a couple of motel names? There are some pretty good package deals going on but I have no idea what is available or close in.

I just called Best Western Kings Inn and the rate is as follow:
$89 for Single Bed(Queen Size)/Night
$99 for 2 Twin BEds / Night
List of Bed and Breakfast in New Westminster:
http://www.newwestminsterlodging.wor...BedBreakfasts/
New Westminster is also a good location because of the public Transit for those who are not renting/hiring a car
