My new Lovat blue jacket and waistcoat

I had previously posted about my search for a Lovat Blue jacket and waistcoat. Having found nothing used on Ebay, Etsy or Ministry of Tartan that met my needs, I ordered a new jacket and waistcoat from USA Kilts. In this picture, I'm wearing them with my County Meath Tartan (in honor of my mother's Irish heritage and her family's origins in County Meath).

I was very pleased with the quality of the fabric and construction. Of course, I had to tend to the length of the sleeves and had my tailor nip in the jacket a bit at the waist, but nothing out of the ordinary.

I've also ordered (and received) a jacket and waistcoat in Harris Tweed from Kilts4Less to accompany a new 8-yard kilt I've commissioned from Paul Henry ... if you're interested, you can follow that particular journey here:
