Ah, that is much better Glen, thank you. Well he is wearing an argyll and that is fine, the sporran in my view could do without the "silver studs". I think a lovat green jacket would have been rather more Highland Scots and not bow to the "London grey" , but it still smacks of lack of thought for the magnitude of the event in my view, for example, the sleeves are in desperate need of being shortened. OK, I am being picky, but really those sleeves are a disgrace as is that belt.
I could not agree more. The photo is a great example of a few things. First Lovat Blue or Lovat Green would work better and be more traditional than the ubiquitous Charcoal Grey. Second, the importance of a good tailor. Third, you don't need a belt with a waistcoat.

Hi all. In reply to the dress I wore my Black Watch kilt, and charcoal grey jacket and waistcoat, black leather day sporran, and no belt. Totally agree with Glen and Jock, sleeves and without the belt but otherwise fine.
