Kilts found in pawn shops
Last years I have found a couple of kilts in pawn shops
one was bought as Ancient dress Mackenzie but doesn´t looks as shown in tartan id books I have
other one is Opera Costume Covent Garden, bought as Hunting Frazer, but not sure...
any help?

The top one looks like Anderson but the image isn't big enough to see all of the details.

right, it have a yellow stripe (in fact black thin stripe, yellow, black thin stripe), RCAF is single white stripe
I'm assuming it's Anderson or MacAndrew because of the color pattern.

in case of being a military kilt, it should have the military pleat, right?, and the one shown in pic is civilian
I'm pretty sure it's Anderson/Macandrew

Well, my wife's cousin is a Macdonald, and the color of dress tartan is absolutely different with white basis, green and red stripes....
In fact, this tartan in pic has dominant colors of brown and tan, pastel colors and a gradient salmon pink.
ancient MacDonald of Clanranald Dress maybe? or Macdonald dress muted... although the colors are very altered
