Calgary Highlanders Black Watch kilt
I picked this up, knowing it was not 100%, and needed some work. Broken strap, lining need replacing, ... thought maybe OK as a beater. Two buckles/ straps ( no hip strap ), Black Watch, knife pleated. In looking at it closer, noticed near the hand written sizing, some printing, maybe a maker but can't make it out, except "Scotland" and something looks like maybe "Ed...?" above it... and also noticed some other printing:
H.O. WAGG LT. (COL????)
(C.O.????) CALGARY HIGHLANDERS
A quick internet search found H.O. Wagg was the commanding officer of the Calgary Highlanders from 1962-66. Probably dates this to that period, but unsure of who the maker was. Pretty cool, too bad the lining is in such bad shape.
