    Continued kilted today

Went about kilted in one of my utility kilts, Home Depot, shopping, breaking sporting clays... a comfortable day! ;-)

Friday's outfit. Green shirt, Holyrood kilt, brown sporran, belt, hat, and shoes. No particularly interesting adventures, however.

Wore my County Cork pv to church today. With sandals as it’s really hot weather here. I play in the church music group on flute, tin whistle and trumpet.
Couple of silly comments but generally positive. One chap in shorts said “I thought I was being brave with the shorts!”
Then we went on to Sainsburys, Marks and Spencer and Hobbycraft.
I found the tailored bit round my middle fairly hot but everywhere else was ideal.

Been doing kilted Fridays for around 4 months now but this was first time to church.

No pictures, but I finally was kilted on a Friday. Just a polo, a MM hunting sporran, and a Kilts and Culture semi-trad kilt. I should be hearing from Barbara Tewksbury any day to say that my wool kilt is finished. Not that I'm excited about it or anything.

    Cool

    Latest kilted Friday:
Went to music practice in my latest but still really cheap Irish National. (I'm saving up for a properly made wool kilt)
Mike asked if it was cool in the hot weather. I find it cool enough in the heat and warm enough in the cold!
Sophie said many men must wish they were Scottish so that they could wear one, and I was able to say that anyone can wear a kilt if they want to (and his wife will allow it...)

    Highland holiday with the family...

Here are a few shots of the two kilts Barb Tewksbury made for me that I wore in Scotland on our Family Highland Holiday. Box pleated MacLeod of Lewis in Harris Tweed, and the MacLeod, Ancient Red peated to the stripe.<br>
Weather was fantastic again, as was the family time.
    Can't wait to go back!

    Thank you Mael Coluim.

PS: I did wear both kilts on the last Friday.

Posting a little late but better late than never. I was finally able to wear my new Barbara Tewksbury kilt out. I think I chose a good occasion. Last Thursday opera singing superstar Renee Fleming gave a concert here in Memphis. She was amazing as expected. Saw a nice sunset as I was coming in to the concert as well. I was also able to wear my new tweed jacket for the first time. Also new were my red hose, tan flashes, and sgian brew. I also wore a lapel pin in honor of the late Queen. Tartan is Urquhart Modern.

I'm flying to London tomorrow and after a few days there on to three weeks in Scotland and a few days in Dublin. I'm sure lots of kilted pictures will follow.
