    I see what you did there.

    I seem to have been lucky, because I requested a long-link chain with my Margaret Morrison re-bag and they had one to hand.

    I like the fact that the links are welded, though the welds are a bit crude. Vintage chains would have had the welds finished nicely, I suppose by filing them down.

    The chain had "antique" finish which consisted of dull darkish grey paint, too much of it, so I hit the chain with steel wool to bring the level of shine up to the patina on my vintage silver cantle. It matches beautifully.
