    The simplicity of kilts

Tonight I began packing for a three day trip away with my wife to the north east of Tasmania. The event is an annual celtic/folk festival.

This is the second time I've been since discovering kilts, but as I was packing clothes to take it hit me as to how simple the choices have become.

I simply picked out three kilts (USAK poly vis)then chose a couple of T shirts, socks and hose, two sporrans, two belts and two pairs of shoes, and yes, a couple of pairs of 'undies' (my wife insists, I'm still in trouble after a game of beach cricket where I did a very nice swing of the bat, to the horror of the whole team).

Life is good, and uncomplicated, in a kilt!!

I too love the fact that when packing you just roll um' up. I usually use one of the wifes stockings to hold then together....No jokes please.....Well alright just on e maybe....

    Graham,

I find that difficulty arises when one packs both kilts and pants. This complicates the logistics.

So I think you have found the solution to the problem. No pants! Let's see winter in Canada? HHHHMMMMM? (Had to add a note: My avatar is my house as it looks now.)

I agree Graham, kilts do make life simple.

As our world becomes more and more complex, simple is the way it should be. As the Shakers would say "Tis a Gift To be Simple, Tis a Gift To Be Free"

In case you have not noticed, I LOVE BEING KILTED ALL FREE AND THAT Yes it is that simple.

Isn't the versatility of the kilt wonderful Graham.Last summer when I visited friends in northern Californa I packed my victory kilt and my traditional wool handsewn and just enough t-shirts and button shirts so I could mix and match for any possibility. Except for my cotton-linen blend trousers(only worn when flying, extremely roomy and comfortable even if they are pants) I had my carry on and a very small suitcase which I carried on the plane, I love not having to check luggage, makes life so much simpler
