    Long link sporran chain options?

Curious if anyone has any leads on stainless long link sporran chains. Margaret Morrison used to have them but they explained that they were having issues finding a supplier at the moment. There are a few vendors who sell solid silver chains, but not what I'm looking for (also not looking for the chains with various designs like saltires or celtic knotwork - just old school long link). I saw that the Scottish Trading Company has something that could fit the bill, but wanted to check here first. Thanks!

I bought one of the Scottish Trading Company's "antique" long link chains to wear with a vintage horsehair sporran (of which I MIGHT have occasion to wear once a year, if I'm lucky...).

Thanks for the link (!) Shaun, good to know.

When I ordered this sporran from Margaret Morrison I asked for a long-link chain and they sent this one.

Shorty afterwards, they stopped carrying them.

It's not ideal due to having the welds in the middle as you mention. The Scottish Trading Company's version is nicer.

I will note that MM put on high-quality leather to match the sporran.

It came too heavily "antiqued". As the antiquing proved to be grey paint, I began taking it off with steel wool until I reached the right level of antique-ness, seen here.

The sporran cantle is Sterling Silver, the buckle is silver-plate.
