Tartan - new Exhibit at the V&A Dundee

Tartan - a new exhibit at the V&A "celebrates one of the world's best-known textiles, exploring its ability to connect and divide communities, embrace tradition, express revolt, and inspire great works of design."

The exhibition "tells the story of Tartan through more than 300 objects including examples of fashion, architecture, product design, film, performance and fine art."

Both personally, and with my STA hat on, I have been involved with the preparation for the exhibition, including loaning my specimen of the Moy Hall Plaid. The team has managed to acquire some amazing pieces, many of which have never been seen in public, and it is going to be a real treat to see them all together. Looking forward to attending the official opening on the 30th March.
