The annual trip up the hill is drawing near. The weather looks interesting and is of course changing by the minute.
High noon on Saturday, group pic anyone?
Where would we meet on Saturday?

Meet at the Scottish Tartan Authority (STA) Tartan Information tent, usually located just inside the main entrance.
(Edited To Add): I just checked the tent assignments and the field map. Just inside the main gate, the first two tents on your left (X1 and X2) are COSCA and STA.

GMHG was a one-day experience for me. Here are pics taken before the meet-up near the STA tent. Balaamsass51 and his lass hard at work.

I saw Doc MacBean Sunday and told him I finally remembered cottage is the tiny building I was talking about Saturday. Appalachia, please pass this on to your friend who shared the expensive and tasty single malt with us. More Xmarkers at Clan Sinclair,
(L-R) @Mael Coluim, @Appalachia, @ASinclair, @Doc MacBean, and @carolinanan117.

Note: In USA, we go on vacation. In Canada, they go cottaging. Cottaging has a different meaning in UK.

I think it must depend where in Canada you are. I have never heard of the expression.

My Canadian friend is in Toronto. Maybe it's an Eastern thing.

Thanks so much for sharing those photos!
It's been a long time since I've been to Grandfather Mountain. My mother used to live in Elizabethton (near Johnson City) and on my annual visits I'd pop over for a day at the Games. That would have been in the 1980s.
Appalachia I like your style.
Allen it would be great to hang out with you again! (We met at Loch Norman).
