    I like the maude style plaids. Can you give details on who made it or how you acquired it?

    It was made by DC Dalgliesh, but I got it through a clearance sale from clan.com. It was the impossible sale price of 49 pounds, 60 CDN, down from their regular 395 pounds. They had posted on facebook, and when i got mine they had seven left, but the were gone within a half hour. don't know how many they had originally.

    I don't see the 'male' model on their page; however, they are marketing a lightweight 'female' model on their web pages....

    That plaid is beautiful!

    What comes to mind is this gent. Notice how both the plaid and kilt have the stripes along the selvedge.



    In WWI the pipers of some battalions of The Tyneside Scottish wore Shepherds Check kilts and plaids, though without the selvedge stripes.
