    This brings up the question of whether there are occasions when William would be expected, due to tradition or precedent, to appear in Highland Dress.

    I suppose if the Prince was appointed as a Colonel-in-Chief of a kilted Scottish Regiment he would then wear the kilt.

    As the heir presumptive, it will come to him in time. He could always get some practice in as Colonel-in-Chief of the Toronto Scottish.
