How snug is it supposed to fit?

Personal dimension change required abandoning old kilts and ordering a new one. I received a lovely kilt from a reputable maker who used measurements taken by a tailor who has created other bespoke articles for me with success. Putting on the new kilt I was struck by how snug it feels. This may just be the new me and new feelings...I may be over-thinking. Before sending pics to the maker as requested, I thought I would get input here. Thanks for whatever you might offer.

Nothing wrong with that fit or look as far as I can tell.

Your kilt should fit you snug enough to wear it without a belt.
Generally speaking a made to order kilt will feel snug compared to one ordered "off the peg".
