i am not sure whether we helped you with your problem/situtation, and I have a solution for you. Have you tried to place the sporrano right in front of your family jewels? It may be a good place for it.

Raphael - I tried lowering the sporran so that it covered the old honeymoon tackle but as I walked it was as though I was getting a kick in that very sensitive place every step. I couldn't tell if people were staring or laughing as my eyes were watering so much

Sooooo - I'm gonna wear the (hard) sporran on my hip, or use my handbag or get a new soft sporran..


Thinks - if I wore a hard leather codpiece under the kilt then maybe your idea would work. It would be a new twist on the "what's under your kilt" question

I have a several of man-bags that I acquired in France. The problem I have with them is that if I wear one as a shoulder bag I start to develope shoulder problems, and, if I don't wear it on my shoulder, rather carry it, I find I am always a hand short. Otherwise they are a great idea for keeping things together, especially when travelling.

This is the reason that I really like the sporran/belt bag.
