    NO LONGER AVAILABLE

This rather beautiful and rare tweed Argyle is available for sale.

It is in near pristine condition, with very little indication of use, with well-shaped classic silhouette and link-button fastening.

In a close weave heavy-weight tweed (21oz I think) in a leaf-green twill with a fine coloured over-check. No maker's label, but is skillfully made in classic style and probably originally bespoke.

    Chest measures 23 inches from pit-to-pit - so should fit 44-46" chest, or 42-44" as a loose-fit.
Back is 27 inches from nape to hem.
Sleeve is 25 inches from shoulder to cuff
Shoulders are 19 inches from seam to seam.

Length of the jacket suggests it would suit a tall man of six-foot or more.

For guidance, the mannequin modelling the jacket is a stout 42" chest.

£120 ONO plus shipping from Scotland.

Does it come with a vest as well or are you selling just the jacket itself?

It is just as you see it in the pictures...

So, jacket on its own and no weskit.

If you're interested, I am open to offers.

To have a similar jacket made new, in a similar quality cloth, I have been quoted a price of between £600 and £900 here in Scotland.

    You're dead right..!

Classic styling with high buttoning and cut-away front to clear the sporran (even when fastened) and show a glimpse of belt buckle or complementing waistcoat. Wonderful!

And the tweed is superb - a tight, close weave (like a thornproof) that is a little less grey than the pictures suggest. They don't come better than this.

If it was my own size, no-one would get a look-in - hence it being for sale.

I'm open to offers, and shipping within the UK for less than a fiver has to be good value.

If I didn't already have a jacket and waistcoat in green like this, I'd be all over this. Very nice.
