I have not been active for awhile

Since I have not been active on the forum for awhile, let me say welcome to all the new members. I went in to get my seventh stent in January and had my fifth heart attack while I was still in hospital. Thank God it was a small one. I am doing good now. I have even started to make some more sgianan dubh. I had 8 handles I had already carved out of hard wood I got in South America and Africa. I made blades out of 440C stainless for them. When the blades come back from heat treat I'll put them together. My wife keeps asking why I am making them, but I feel I have to keep doing something besides sitting in a chair all day. Things just take me longer now, but at 85 I can expect that. Yesterday I made two sets of hardware and cut and polished two stones for the tops. When I get them finished I'll get the young lad across the street to post a picture of them.

Glad you're doing better, and glad to have you posting. Looking forward to the pictures.

Yah, definitely can't fit into the old kilt! All the weight is back. Could have done with leaving a bit off, but there you go.
