Banner of the Order of St John in the US

I just finished this project after maybe 150 hours of work. The banner is entirely painted using Jaquard Textile Paint, and is glued together; not a stitch on it. Beyond basic repairs and buttons, I'm no good at sewing.

The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem has HM the King as its Sovereign Head, and HRH the Duke of Gloucester is the worldwide Grand Prior. In the UK and Commonwealth countries, the Order supports the work of St John Ambulance. American members are devoted to supporting the Order's eye hospital in East Jerusalem and associated clinics in the West Bank and Gaza. The banner is that of the Order's Priory in the United States, which has about 1,800 members.

Nice job! Given all the paint and glue, I'd imagine that it's a bit stiff. Is that the case? Would it flap in the breeze? I'm guessing it's for indoor display only.

I had a two-sided flag made, but I just created the graphics on the computer and sent them to a flag company for production. They printed two copies on fabric, placed an opaque layer in between and stitched the three layers together. Definitely less labor intensive than your banner!

    Cheers,
