That's a difficult choice:
1) Pleasanton at its worst, 115f (46c) and relentless blazing sun.
2) Glasgow Green last Saturday, 60f (16c) but feeling colder due to steady wind, and raining off and on.
For sure the pipes were much happier on Glasgow Green! No desperately putting ice cubes in your bag! (I wonder if UK pipers have even heard of that strategy.)
Better for the pipes to play flat on the thick wet grass than screeching at 490 on pavement hot enough to cook an egg!
