    Leather kilt purchase..

G'day all from Australia ... A few months ago I picked up a nice five yard wool blend kilt to add to my collection ..It's beaut and the 24 " drop and have worn it a bit of late . Love it ..

Then about a month ago as our summer weather began to arrive I happened upon a U.K. seller that made leather kilts . I have a few utility kilts anyway so I contacted the seller on EBAY and was gobsmacked by the service and found myself obtaining one of their items . Just thought I'd share the experience with those interested .

The kilts are available in both 24 and 20 " lengths but I think they can custom make them if required. My other leather kilt is 20 " and it fits my shortish frame a little better as it's worn more hip position .

It is a beaut brown colour and with size 38 waist . It was priced amazingly at 67 pounds ($131) Australian and postage was only $32 . It was made in two days and shipped the third day after purchase and arrived at my home nine days after I paid for it.. The communication from outlet was exceptional and was a pure joy to buy .

Once it arrived I discovered the leather is very supple , stitching is perfect as is the hip fit.. and it's so comfy to wear .. Two kilts added tis past few months and both awesome purchases ...So happy ... Cheers Rod,

Welcome from Inverness-shire. In many decades wearing the kilt I have never seen a leather kilt. I hope you enjoy wearing it.

G'day to the kind crew who responded ..Very pleased you did..Just to clarify I'm a bit of a rare thing perhaps with kilts . I absolutely love them but I don't wear them a lot . And now I have quite a few .. Only one 8 yarder wool kilt in Royal Stewart..Its really heavy and I do like it but worn it once .. I prefer the 5 yard ones and own about seven now .. I began obtaining utility kilts about 7-8 years ago now and I go hiking / bushwalking mostly in them .I think all up I have about 10 in different styles in cotton drill , denim and khaki ..Very practical with pockets and belt clips ,way way better than shorts ..
A while back I found a black leather kilt you'd classify as a utility kilt /..Pockets etc too . It was very cheap from Pakistan . I bought one .. Not great quality by any means , the cowhide leather was a bit stiff (not so much now) but so much fun to wear .. Mine is only 20"but worn on the hip , not on the waist like a traditional kilt so 24" choice would have been too long for me (I'm only 171cm) ..Liked it so much I ended up buying the new one from the U.K. very recently ...It's awesome ..It's very supple , beautifully made it seems and brown ..Has additional pockets and provision for a belt . Price was amazing and the company couldn't be more helpful .. A joy from go to whoa ..
I'm not an absolute newcomer to X Marks The Scot (joined about a year or so ago) but haven't been a regular contributor for a while .,. That will change as just beginning four wonderful months off work with lots of Long Service Leave due that I have to take..Once I go back I'm only going to be part time from 6 am to 10.am so from now on my kilt wearing opportunities is going to be huge ... Once again , thanks for your kind responses..
