Robert Mackie Bonnets Available from Scotland Shop

When Robert Mackie decided to stop making bonnets, they gave all their bonnet-making stuff to House of Tartan. While House of Tartan was trying to raise money to start making bonnets, Scotland Shop bought them. Now Scotland Shop, from their new Crieff location (formerly House of Tartan) is making bonnets. You won't see bonnets on their websites (UK or USA), but if you email them, they will take your order.

    Bonnets

Looks great! May I ask how the pricing compares to the price originally offered by Robert Mackie?

    Cheers,

This made-to-order bonnet with standard tracking shipping and 1% currency conversion charge from my bank cost $135 USD. I am quite pleased.

    Wow your Balmoral looks perfect!

I'm so happy to see Mackies return to production.

To do the various colours the way Mackie did in the past requires the correct ribbon colours (in three different widths) and correct tourie colours.

I wonder if they have all the colours to hand.

Then there's the dicing. Are they set up to knit it? Or do they have a stock of dicing in various colours?

I'm trying to remember their old range of bonnet colours...am I missing any?

    Navy Blue
    black
    fawn
    Lovat blue
    Lovat green
    bottle green
    royal blue
    sky blue
    red
    claret/maroon
    brown
    khaki drab (military)
