    Hi-Viz

    Well, this is refreshing! Especially when initiated by an old curmudgeon like Jock Scot. I hardly know what to say. I think there is at least one tartan that already qualifies as "hi-viz;" that being Loud McLeod of course. I'm surprised the safety officianados in Scotland haven't adopted it for all of their "hi-viz" attire. When in Edinburgh, we saw a lot of hardworking trades people wearing work trousers, etc. all with reflective hi-viz striping. This is something that is just now being seen in the southeastern US.

    On a lightly trafficked US Interstate Highway in Montana (where ALL the repair work has to be done in the summer), one might be able to pick up one or more of those ALMOST completely realized; the only finishing tool required would be something capable of slicing off the very tops of those traffic cones…
