High Viz Gear With The Kilt?
I went off topic on another thread and deleted part of my post.I thought a FUN question may be in order. So.......
How do we think HIGH ViZ gear will go with our kilts?
I seem to remember the late dear old Hamish had a try some time ago and caused certain amount of mirth.

I think you may have to define/ clarify "HIGH ViZ". Safety vests?

Yes indeed! High Viz= High Visability = Safety Vests, Safety jackets,Safety trousers, Hard hats etc and they come in yellow, 0r burnt orange and often with reflective stripes on them as well. Apparently, I get to wear yellow, then everyone knows that the "Old Man" is about!

I guess you could pleat to the reflective stripe....
I once had a clerical collar of reflective white, you know, for evening services?
Sometimes here in Ontario, some very cute co-eds get a summer job as flag-folk for construction. Some of them are on the road with pink hard hats, safety boots, and bikinis with safety vests over top. Now, that is high visibility!

Hi-Viz
Well, this is refreshing! Especially when initiated by an old curmudgeon like Jock Scot. I hardly know what to say. I think there is at least one tartan that already qualifies as "hi-viz;" that being Loud McLeod of course. I'm surprised the safety officianados in Scotland haven't adopted it for all of their "hi-viz" attire. When in Edinburgh, we saw a lot of hardworking trades people wearing work trousers, etc. all with reflective hi-viz striping. This is something that is just now being seen in the southeastern US.
Cheers,
David

Wow. I had no idea the US was so far behind Canada. I've never seen that in my country.
I sure wish we would catch up soon.
