    Gunga Din

    I've just finished watching the classic adventure flick Gunga Din on dvd and I have to say I had forgotton just how many kilts are in the movie! They show up throughout the whole thing

    aside...

    As an aside, Victor McLaglen, who played Sgt. McChesney in "Gunga Din" really did serve in the British Army during the Boer War 1899-1902.

    "Gunga Din" is just a fun movie to watch, and the uniforms were done well also. :mrgreen:

    Check out another Kipling story made into a film, "Soldiers Three", which has a few kilts in it -- it's harder to find, though. I taped it off TV years ago.

    Thanks for the info Todd, one of the bonus features is a commentary from some historian, can't remember
    who at the moment, but it should be interesting. I'll keep my eye out for soldiers three, I do enjoy Kipling's work. 8)
