Skiing, Altitude and Hospital
Greeting all,
Today the phone rang, a friend fell and ended up in the emergency room at the hospital. With her being 92 and somewhat frail, I was a bit concerned and went to the emergency room to sit with her and another friend.
While waiting for the tests to come back another patient came into the emergency room. He was on a skiing vacation and was suffering from acute altitude sickness.
After he was stable he looked over at me and smiled and said that it was great to see a Yank kilted. He was from Edinburgh Scotland.
It was fun to have two ER patients and companions talking while spending time in the ER, the staff seemed to enjoy it and brought us all some ice cream.
Everyone recovered nicely, but we will never forget the time we had in the ER
