Gonna drive down on Friday, do the Ren Faire Sat and the Highland Games Sunday. Bunch of guys on the UK board are gonna be there and UK will have a booth.

I'll be hitting the Ren fest also, not sure when. Was thinking of March since they have the Scottish, Pirate and Easter themes then.
I'm thinking the Mesa games might be a great chance to try on a UK for size rather than just doing it all online.

I'll be there, working the UK booth. Stop by, say hi, we'll get you fitted even if you dont want to buy right then. At least you'll know what size to get and what length you like.

We never know what stock we will have until we get it. Generally though there is a good assortment of all sizes, styles, and colors at the booth. If you were hoping for a denim or leather those are the only ones that are under represented, usually only a few models total.
For anything else we usually have several of each in every size and color. Seeing as this is one of the first events of the year and they have had all winter to make stock, I expect the stock to be very well filled out.

I may be needing a sporran soon, does anyone know if the games might be a good place to pick up one, or are the prices going to be comparable with or more expensive than online?
I suppose I may also need other accessories too.

Haven't been to the games in a while, but you can count on a passle of vendors.
Meantime, check out the Freelander Sporran from Freelander on this board. I have two and love them...high quality, inexpensive compared to the fancy ones...got sporran straps from them from RKilts, but Freelander was talking about adding belts.
Think you'll find the posts on the accessories board.

How do vendor prices at the games compare with regular stores or online?
Also, I assume prices for things like hose don't very much, but what about things like belts etc.
You see I could order my kilt and have it here probably before the event, which makes me want to have the other stuff with it. But perhaps I should be patient and wait until the games to accessorise. ??

Galant,
One thing that I have noticed is the vendor prices are pretty much the same at the games as they are in their stores. Depending on the laws and where the vendors come from, sales tax may not be an issue.
Good luck in your search, and do enjoy the festivities
