Wow! That's great pocket work on both the side and back pockets...how'd you do that?
Color reminds me of the putty at AmeriKilts which is supposed to be the War II Khaki.
Looks like a LOT of work on your part...afraid to ask about prices...
Are the color's set yet, or did I miss them?

Thanks for asking Ron,
BTW your buttons are in the mail.
Ah yes, the pockets. Well that's where 65% of the work goes. If there were no pockets I could make a kilt in 1 day. Eventhough I've modified the reverse pleat to simplify the construction of the Side Slash Pockets since your kilts, the pockets are what make my kilts so different. I've taken a lot of design time and spend A LOT of time to get them right.
Colors: yes the Olive is very similar to WWII Khaki. Think original Ike Jacket.
No, you haven't missed anything about colors I just got a load of fabric and have not yet updated the web site.
I now have probably the widest selection of fabrics and colors anywhere.
Here is the new list:
9oz. 65/35 Poly/Cotton Twills 8 colors
MC Khaki (actually a tan color)
Coffee Brown
MC Olive Drab (actually a bright mossy green)
Olive (the old WWII Khaki)(in the pictures)
Royal Blue
Glacier Blue
Silver Gray
Black
100% Cotton 10oz Twills (Summer weight) 3 colors
Carrhardt Gold
Moss Green
Graphite Gray
100% Cotton 12 oz Twills (Winter Weight) 4 colors
Khaki
Caramel Brown
Olive Green (WWII again)(but brushed and stone washed)
Slate Gray (brushed and stone washed)
100% Cotton 10oz.Plain Weave Work weight (Duck canvas)
Khaki
Carrhardt Gold
Dark Olive
Slate Gray
Camouflage Collection
Woodland
6 color Desert
VN Tiger Stripe
MARPAT (on a truck somewhere)
The new model takes 30% more fabric 8.15 yards vs 6.6 yds., and takes about 25% more labor. So for the new model I had to bump the price to $245.00 cdn
I've also made ALL pockets options. I've had requests for kilts with no pockets so decided to offer it that way.

Yes Flip, that is your kilt.
About now it should be somewhere around the Great Lakes on it's way to you.

Steve,
Are those Maltese cross buttons on your casual kilt?
Very nice -- you're tempting this "tartan traditionalist"!
Cheers,

Yes Sir,
The buttons on Atticus's kilt are Maltese crosses. They are Bronze on a black enamel like background.
I really like the riveted "jeans" style buttons. They are attractive, and do a very nice job.
I also carry a five point star in bronze, a brushed pewter celtic cross, a silver fillegre on black, a plain chrome and solid black.
For those of you with earler Freedom Kilts, the olive wreath buttons have been dis-continued due to the stud being made from a cheap "pot metal" and subject to breakage. (Sorry about that Ron).
For those who are concerned with adjustability I also will use sew-on buttons of the owners choice which can be removed and re-positioned if necessary.
If anyone knows of a source for a nice celtic knot button PLEASE contact me.

There is a button store just up the street from me. All they sell is buttons. I'll have a peek.
