Another strong recommendation, here, for Mrs. Brown.
A great film.

Thanks, gentlemen. I'll keep an eye out for it and put it on my "to rent" list.

It's a great film. Dame Judi actually got her Oscar for this (it was just credited to Shakespear in Love because more people saw that).

Cheers,

I have just discovered that I do have "Tunes of Glory" after all! I taped it from the TV about five years ago and thought I had subsequently recorded over it. I'll have to take a look at it. I've somewhere around 250 films that I have taped from the TV in recent years, thinking they would be great to see when I retired (all that time on my hands!) - I have been retired seven years and I don't think I have watched any of them!! Some, I have never seen at all, either on TV or in the cinema, but I recorded them because of their good reviews.
Oh, well! When I really retire.....

When you "really retire" we will all be faced with the problem of sending flowers to the service via International Teleflorist!
You are on a roll, don't stop and let time and age catch up. Too many folks look up to you as a role model.

Doc, you are too kind, but what a waste of flowers (and money). No, I'd much rather anyone who felt so inclined should treat themselves to a nice kilt pin to remember me by!

I can see it now: THE HAMISH BICKNELL MEMORIAL KILT PIN
It would take weeks of discussion to agree on a design, and more weeks to get the sculpture make a likeness and get it approved, and then more weeks to get them cast in gold, silver, platinum, and bronze.
Flowers would be cheaper and faster. :P
You should be immortal. It would save us all lots of trouble. :P
