    Kilted Calendar?

Has anyone ever thought of throwing together a kilted calendar?

    Perhaps an X Marks special?

No nudity and perhaps two versions - male and female. One showing male dressed in kilts and highland attire, and the other showing women in kilted skirts or otherwise highland attire.

I expect they'd sell quite well.

That's actually a GREAT fund raising method for the site. When I was on another board, we had our custom cars submitted for member voting, and then had a calendar made. They were not only sold on the site, but also at custom car shops and at Chryslyer dealerships. They buy them at a discount, and then take the profits.

XMarks could EASILY do that with member pics and submission. HighlandTideWear could carry them, and also have kilt shops and Irish Shops carry them. it helps us... helps the shops with Celtic appeal... and gets the word out about XMarks.

With the Festivals coming on strong now, it's a great idea! Anyone have a source for such a venture?

    I say... let's get rolling!

Glad to hear I have a good idea now and then. Although I say let's wait until I get my first kilt and then I can have a submission.

i wouldŽnt go so far though making two different calendars for male and female. i would like to see there the dancing boys and girls as well as a female bag piper

then i would like to see a kilt in the city, a kilt in nature, legs in the water while salmon fishing in Dee river ;)

next on my wish list: funny pic providing the signs of Toilets (male&female)with kilted guys around not knowing where to or such stuff;)

If we want it for 2006, we better get on it ASAP. Keep those ideas coming, we only get better with ideas and following through with them

Calanders can be put together with a professional look quite easily. My wife's aunt put together a collection of family photos w/ birthdays etc, and, frankly, if she can do it, most people can do it. We could have someone head up the project. Any volunteers? I have too much on my plate as it is with grad school applications, so I can't do it. Sorry,
