    new guy.

Hello! I just linked to this through Tom's Cafe.
I like this one better. Iam from upstate New York. Near the Canadian
border.I enjoy most outdoor activities. And some indoor ones as well.
I am a member of His Majesty's 78th highlandes of Foot, this is a re-enactment group of the French and Indian war in the colonies. It is also known as the Seven Years War.
my motto is "Live as though every day is your last!"
My wife likes the idea that I wear a kilt. She has even volunteered to make one for me! I am a lucky guy.
also one question I recently purchased a kilt on ebay, it is from scotland direct. I have not received it as of this date. I paid for it nearly two weeks age. Has anyone here ordered from them??
Please let me know. thank you

No experience with them, but welcome to the forums!

I'm sure someone here will have dealt with them!

Welcome aboard. If your wife is going to make you a kilt get her The Art of Kiltmaking by Barbara Tewksbury, who is a member here as well. http://www.celticdragonpress.com/
It's the best how-to on the subject I've seen.
Ordering a kilt in many cases can take up to 10 or 12 weeks, depending on the shop. 2 weeks is no big thing, when it hits 6 email them about it.

You should have been there to see the look on my daughters face. Being 16, she embarases easily. The camera didn't quite capture the crimson in her face. However, she took it like a good sport.

    Cheers,
    Uncle Ricky

Warmest of welcomes, Kiltie. It's nice of you to join us. How close are you to the border? I used to live near Lake George, many years ago.
